Environmental accountability has become a critical strategic priority in Baghdad's hotel industry, which is experiencing rapid reconstruction and economic recovery following years of conflict. Despite the growing importance of digital technology in the Iraqi hospitality sector, the capacity of green leadership to produce genuine outcomes for guests remains underexplored.

This study investigates how green leadership and digital sustainability intersect and collectively influence guest satisfaction and loyalty intentions across classified hotels in Baghdad. It also examines whether sustainability authenticity perception (SPS) and digital-human alignment operate as mediating mechanisms within these relationships.

Using survey data collected from 250 guests across three, four, and five-star sustainability-compliant hotels representing four cultural groups, researchers applied multiple statistical methods. Results revealed a strong and significant correlation between green leadership visibility and guest satisfaction (rho = 0.64, p < 0.001). Sustainability authenticity perception was found to mediate the leadership-loyalty relationship (indirect B = 0.24), while digital-human alignment served as an additional mediating factor (indirect B = 0.17). Peak satisfaction levels corresponded with high sustainability perception and integration intensity (SI = 4.71).
